Last year, we wrote about Amazon’s continued climb into the upper echelon for digital-ad spend, positioning itself behind the Duopoly controlled by Google and Meta.
And even more than before, the idea of a Triopoly appears to be closer to a reality, as Amazon’s $42 billion ad revenue growth will give it a 13.9% share this year, behind Google’s 25.6% and Meta’s 21.3%.

“Amazon’s ad revenue growth will accelerate for the second consecutive year in 2024, reaching 24.7%,” writes EMARKETER, which says Amazon’s share will grow to 15.4% next year and 17.3% in 2026. “That positions it to possibly overtake Meta before the end of the decade.”
